Ocho

Ok, I was tagged to do this meme by Cristin at Tiptoeing Through The Tulips. She has a wicked sense of humor, and I like her, so I decided to do this in her honor.

At first I took it very seriously and contemplated my answers over and over; were they intelligent answers, did they reflect me accurately, was I being honest and sincere, was that the best answer, etc.

Well, forget that crap (sorry). I'm going to have fun with this. It's a pictureless post (gasp, not possible for me!) so I'm going all out and letting the words hit the fan. hehe

Eight things I am passionate about:

1. deodorant

2. Starbucks Chai Tea (hot with soy, no water)

3. the Internet

4. Writing lists...of anything. I just love lists.

5. Target

6. drinking enough water so my pee is clear

7. smells. Things have to smell right or I go nuts.

8. OK, my family, nature, reading, writing, animals, freedom, photography, and so forth.

Eight things I would like to do before I die:

1. Get a tattoo somewhere no one can see but me

2. Get an extra piercing somewhere exciting besides my ears!

3. Own good-sized amount of land (maybe a ranch)

4. Travel the World

5. Publish a book

6. Publish another book

7. Go to Medical School

8. Make a difference (preferably for the better) in people's lives

Eight things I say a lot:

1. Please turn that down.

2. Remy, use your inside voice.

3. Just a minute.

4. Seriously?

5. Good girl (to Annie)

6. Donny, I mean, Remy, whoever you are, go to your room!

7. Remy, where are your shoes?

8. Donny, if you do that again, you're going to lose computer and TV time.

Eight books I have read (I don't even know how to start here. sheesh. I've read hundreds)

1. Nancy Drew Series (I read the entire series in like two months when I was younger)

2. Where the Sidewalk Ends by Shel Silverstein (My parents read this to me and now I read it to my kids...and it never gets old!!)

3. Harry Potter Series (LOVE it)

4. Coaching Youth Soccer: A Baffled Parent's Guide (yes, I coached Remy's team last year, that's a whole 'nother story.)

5. The Worse-Case Scenario Survival Handbook (because I want to be prepared.)

6. Living with Lawyers (have I told you I'm married to one? And my mom is one. And my father-in-law)

7. An Underground Education : The Unauthorized and Outrageous Supplement to Everything You Thought You Knew About Art, Sex, Business, Crime, Science, Medicine and Other Fields of Human (Again, I like to be prepared)

8. Why Do Men Have Nipples? Hundreds of Questions You'd Only Ask a Doctor After Your Third Martini (Come on, admit it, you wanna know now too...)

Eight movies I have seen eight times:

1. Sixteen Candles (Only R movie in our house..ahem, contraband....for years when I was growing up.)

2. The Incredibles

3. Shrek

4. Thomas and The Magic Railroad (Thomas the Tank Engine movie)

5. Master of Disguise

6. The Sound of Music

7. The Parent Trap (Hayley Mills version)

8. Annie

Ooo...I want a tattoo, too. But I can't think of anything especially meaningful to put on my body. And I really want to get my nose pierced. I might have to do this meme, too. But knowing me, I'll get 4 things for each section and call it a day...

So funny, I do the same thing with my pee. I drink so much water that the extra time I am adding to my life is being spent in the bathroom. Funny, Love it.

I do the same thing with my pee, too! I'm obsessed with making it clear! That sounds gross.....blech...I'm embarrassed right now.

Ah, who cares! It's true!

The 8 things you say a lot could be mine exactly--just with my kids' names inserted instead.

First of all, thanks for stopping by on my SITS day! You asked a question so I came here to answer it!

You asked "Congrats on the new phone! How on earth have you made it this long without one?!" Well, this is MY first one. Pear has had one for a while now but honestly, I'm just not much of a phone person. Even now, I hardly use the thing, forget to take it with me places and never check my voice mail. So, it's almost like I still don't have one.

I also wanted to return these under-britches... the name inside says Rhea so either they're yours or maybe you should step up the security around your blog?

Thanks again for stopping by!

Wow that was a lot to think about!

I am sure everyone appreciates you passion for deoderant :) I am that way also. ;)

Cristin said...

Aww.. I AM honored!

The pee thing killed me.. I should be passionate about that one too...

Uberburber - You are a meme dork! Hey, you told me to call you that! And, I love your enthusiasm!!

I Beati/Sandy - Glad you like my new look! Thanks!! :o)

Crystal Chick - You are officially tagged. I'm tired of tagging peoople, so whoever wants it can have it!! Happy Hump day right back at ya!

Angie - Please, borrow it. Take it, share it, do what you want with it. :o) I wanted to BE Nancy Drew. Seriously. :o)

Britgal Sarah - Glad we have some things in common. Harry POtter is amazing, the Sound of Music a CLASSIS and peeing clearly, a good feeling. hehe

Krystyn - It is nice to learn more about our blogging friends, I agree. Sometimes people go overboard with them, but little bits here and there are nice, I think.

Jennifer - well, thanks for doing this meme, in the comments section. lol You are definitely giving Kat a run for her money in the top commenter spot!

Tranny Head - I don't know anyone who doesn't love Target. I'm sure there must be someone out there who does (like husbands) but really, what is there not to love? My kids even love it.

Hmmm... do I detect a theme in your movies seen 8 times? Are they ones you watched with your children? Have you seen "Golden Compass". That's another great one for the whole family. I also like "Stardust", but some parent's might not like the fact that Robert DeNiro plays a small part as a "whoopsie" pirate might not appeal to some parents.

Melissa said...

ohhhh I am a slave for Target too and we are finally getting a Target here! YEAAAA!

Target, Travel the World and The Sound of Music--all your picks are great, but these stand out! BTW, I'm having a new giveaway, and would LOVE it if you stopped by some time. Hope to see you soon!

In the grand scheme of things, that is too much for me to think about! ;o)

Kat - I have the same delima. I can't think of something meaningful to put on my body that I want for the rest of my life...But I really like the idea of body art. :o) You crack me up with your four things and then quit. hehe How many Thursday 13's do you have in draft right now?! hehe

Jen - I don't know why I'm always worried about dehydrating. I guess because I never feel like I drink the amount I'm supposed to.

Mama Dawg - I'm so glad I'm not the only one!! lol Don't be embarrassed, everybody pees!!

Elle - Thanks, I'm so glad you like my new look!! I love sunflowers also. And, yes, I love making lists and crossing things off.

Angela - hehe We moms tends to say the same things over and over...no wonder they stop listening...

Apple Joos - Congrats on your SITS day! Thanks for returning my panties. Sorry I left them at your house. It was quite a party! I always leave them at the good parties, it's a sign of success. And, I like having the phone so if the kids aren't with me, they can get in touch no matter what.

Valarie - I think you're right, everyone must appreciate my passion for deodorant. I know some people who forget to put it on or don't wear it regularly...not me, I have to put it on EVERY day. I'm a sweater.

Cristin - I'm glad my pee could make you laugh. hehe It's gotta be good for something, right? Besides taking time from my day and being a real pain when I'm trying to get things done.

Randall - Yes, you picked up on my movie theme quickly. The only movies I really watch over and over are with the kids. I did like Stardust. Robert DeNiro was hilarious.

Motherhood for Dummies - I can't believe you didn't have a Target! Thank goodness one is coming.

Veggie Mom - You sure do have lots of giveaways.

The Glamorous WAHM - too much to think about?! Oh, no! Sorry to overwhelm you like that. I'm wordy like that. I like to write.

Thanks everyone for stopping by!
