I got to shoot Aliens, so all was good with the world.

He told jokes...and took his ear off.

And I stood in line for over an hour listening to him.

Yes, we waited in a line for over an hour to ride Toy Story Mania at Disney.

A 3D shooting ride.

Remy & his cousin were very excited.

And, boy, did I kick some alien bootay.

I saved the world.

Really.
I mean, for all we know, this ride could be real life...I mean, if we don't do it, maybe real aliens will arrive and take over the world.

I did my duty.

At least, that's my story, and I'm stickin' to it.

I'm usually very laid back

These adorable little angels are my nieces.
And I wish they'd come live with me.

I'm normally very tolerant of all children.

Screaming babies on airplanes don't bother me.
Kids throwing fits at the grocery store have me feeling sympathy for their parents.

BUT, recently, on our Disney trip...
I was hot.
I was tired.
I was hungry.

And while we were waiting on a dinner reservation,
there was annoying, terrible, horrible little child whining
and crying to her parents about wanting to go on the elevator.

My tolerance evaporated.

I almost told this little girl,
a stranger...

that the elevator went straight to hell.

And if she got on it...there'd be monsters.

I don't know what got in to me.

Aliens eat Mickey Waffles and wear Pluto hats.

A Breakfast for Champions:

Mickey waffles.

I lost my Longhorn cap on Thunder Mountain...
and bought this fashionable replacement.

But Remy's hat was way cooler and trendsetting than mine.

My boys were fascinated by the balloon-inside-a-balloon.

My little Aliens.

Some people have way too much time on their hands

Here in Texas we see Armadillos every now and then.
Sometimes they're alive, sometimes they're road kill.

I've never seen one quite like this:

Someone has way too much time on their hands.

My Cell Phone is smarter than my iPod

We arrived home from Florida today.
Our Disney trip was awesome.

I took over 500 photos, so you will be hearing lots and lots about this trip
for the next month at least.

But, seriously, my cell phone is smarter than my iPod.
When we flew from Texas to Florida...my cell phone changed it's time.

But the iPod didn't.

Heat, fun and on the run

I have blisters on my blisters

and a sunburn on my sunburn.

It's the Disney Experience!

Wednesday, June 10, 2009

She could have asked me if I wanted toe piercing, for all I know.

When you get your nails done by someone foreign,
who doesn't speak English well,
you never know what could happen.

I thought I was saying yes to a certain color...

But apparently, I was agreeing to flowers on my big toes.

I nodded yes, closed my eyes, and enjoyed the massaging chair...
and when I opened my eyes again, I had flowers.

Have you ever had anything different on your nails?

Everyone's mom wants to have an Alpaca farm, right?

Every morning, on my drive to work, I pass fields.
Fields growing crops...and fields with animals.

There's this one field that contains a white horse.
I thought that's all that lived there...
but one day when I finally stopped to take photos,
I found some other critters lived there.

Two Alpaca.

Did I ever tell you my mom wants to have an alpaca farm?

I think it's an awesome idea.

I grew up on a ranch, so I love having animals and land.

And a black calf.

But this is the beauty that caught my eye.

My boys named her "Thistle" because the field has tons of wild thistle growing.

She's sweet & friendly.

Yes, yes, Ms. Alpaca, I'm sure you are too...
but you basically ignored me to munch on grass.

Donny's in love with Thistle too.

She wanted to come home with us...

I'm not sure what Annie would think of that.

No more teachers' dirty looks

Well, ok, my boys are amazing students, no dirty looks from teachers,
but you know the song, right?

School's out for summer!

Watch out,
because from now on, all the trees will be full of paper airplanes...

Rockets will be plummeting from backyards into the sky...

And freaky drawings will take over my home.

It's summer!!
