Sorry, but I had to giggle at that photo. I'm sure the boys were disappointed, but isn't your first thought anymore, "This is going to be awesome for my blog"?
Oh, gosh--have you ever tried the Mexican beans that magically grow, or the T-shirts that come in a little tiny tube that you dunk in water to produce an item you can actually wear? :) BTW, did you hear about our campaign to e-mail Oprah about Uncle Lynn & Pop'rs? The SITStas even got in on the act! Please drop by and see what's happening in Aunt Julie's neck o' the woods!
I had one of those "grow your own crystals" things.. well, lets just say I was in high school, and it was about the ONLY clean part of my room! It was only $5 for the small kit, I doubted it would work... then I wondered if it would ever DIE!! It lasted about 5 or 6 WEEKS! It only really stopped when I went away for a long weekend and it dried up! SPB was given a different one (with little mountains and trees and..) The Crystals grew on the cardboad.. It only lasted 2 weeks... between her grabbing at bits to touch it and the wind... and my kitty-cats lol.. Oh my... I don't know what I want more.. a cat or the kit! lol Sorry your's didn't work Rhea. That really sucks! Hopefully its a case of better luck next time eh? **Hugs** for the disappointed xoxo
that stinks that they don't work right... but that is a pretty cool picture. :)
Trevor likes the animals that grow in water... although he likes to take them in the bath with him instead of leaving them in water... he doesn't totally understand that it takes longer for them to grow then just his bath... but we let him do it anyway... and they do grow some.

Hi Rhea...thanks for coming by my blog. I will take some time to explain to you about the "wrinkles in the neck" if you like. Just hit me up.
Any you're right...those things never work right.
I had one of those when I was younger, it worked but got old, though. Sorry that is not working.
Good to know. I don't think I have ever seen one.
Were the boys disappointed? And did you ever figure out the experiment Donny was trying to do with Sprite and an egg?

Stupid things.
http://bubbassis.blogspot.com/ bet you have some good answers for Friday Texas fest !!
We've never tried those before...and from the looks of it, we aren't going to either;) LOL
those toys suck and usually involve very upset little boys.
I have never tried one of these. Guess I shouldn't waste my money, huh? :)

Order up some space monkeys. Remember those? So bloggable, if you can find 'em.!
Hmmm.... I had a pet rock. Never a crystal rock growing kit though.
Almost as disappointing as sea monkeys.
Those and chia pets. How sad. :(
Geez, it looks like you've got a Titanic on your hands there.
