The Green Shirt & A Louisiana Tiger

On our Baton Rouge trip, I took the boys to the LSU campus to see Mike the Tiger.

GiGi, my GPS unit, didn't fail me.

We found it.

And met Mike.

He's only two years old and still growing.

He has a really nice setup on the LSU campus.

In just about every single photo from this trip, Remy is wearing the same shirt.
The same green shirt.
I don't know why this child doesn't like to change clothes.

Here the boys are dressed up nice for the funeral...and yes, Remy has the same green shirt on under his button-down.

Unbelievable.

I finally had to institute
Operation Hold-Him-Down-And-Change-His-Clothes
.

Don't even get me started on the year he wore his clothes backwards.
Every single damn day.

What about you?
Do your child have weird clothing habits?
Have you ever met an impressive college mascot like Mike the Tiger?

I didn't know there were tigers in Louisiana! tee hee
Beautiful Cat!!
My son hates socks. It takes him 15 minutes just to put his shoes on. Has to have the socks just right. Has always been that way, even as a tot.

Well, 2 of my 3 children don't like clothes. When my youngest son comes home from school he is practically nekked by the time he makes it up the stairs. LOL.

Graham won't wear any pants that don't have an elastic waist... and the minute he sets foot in the house his shoes and socks are off... not that weird... but he's weird in so many other ways...

Aw, the boys looked so damn handsome!
Nope, no weird clothing quirks here, thank goodness!!!!! MY kids are normal. LOL

You've seen fashion Tuesday, so you know my youngest LOVES to NOT match. It drives me crazy, but it's her own sense of style and how do I suppress that. But I have to say, her clothes are almost always clean. :)

I get the "They are my clothes. And my body" speech from the girls a lot when I offer commentary on their outfits for the day. Madalyn refuses to match. And Katie won't wear jammies that don't match. So very strange.

And I went to Georgia...so I've met Uga. Not sure which one though...

I've never met Mike or any other mascot.

Light of my Life has to roll down the tops of any elasticized bottoms. PJ pants, stretch pants, skirts, etc....drives me nuts.

My oldest daughter wears just about the same thing all the time. She would wash and wear forever, if I let her.

I didn't realize that my daughter hated "tall" socks until I was in her room one day and found all of the tops of her socks that she had decided to cut off of them! I now, obviously, only buy her the short socks. Little booger!

That's too funny. Jeffrey enjoys taking one arm out of his shirt and just wearing that way for as long as I'll allow.

Oh, and as for Mike the Putty Tat..He's okay. I'm more fond of Tiger the Eagle! WAR EAGLE!! Even if we did completely suck this year and now have no coach. I still love my Auburn Tigers! :)

My 16 year old son grew 7 inches in the last 16 months. And he won't give up his T-shirts because he likes them soft and worn.

The only weird clothing habit the boys have is with socks. The can't have that this thing on top of the toes where they are sewed together. My boys go nuts with some socks.

My daughter is only 1, so she doesn't have any of her own weird dressing habits, but I'm pretty sure I'm going to inflict some upon her. I dress her in a tutu at least once a week. Poor girl.

Logan doesn't like to wear clothes unless he has to. When he gets in from school he immediately starts taking off the clothes. We have now moved on to at least wearing shorts instead of just underwear. Also, I can never find his clothes because he just drops them where they are. You might find shirts out in the tree house, and we have lost so many pairs of socks outside, its not even funny.

Cracking up at green shirt!! Such a BOY thing! Little Chief won't wear a shirt with a collar! Try dressing up with no collars, fun! :)

LS-who?

Ha. Had to do it. Couldn't resist.

Of course I've met THE impressive college mascot. THE, as in he gets voted every year, nationwide, the best-known, best-loved college mascot.

His name is Uga. This is Uga VII's first year as mascot. His father, Uga VI, died in June of this year, after serving on the field at Sanford Stadium for 9 seasons. The flags around the campus of the University of Georgia were flown at half-mast that day.

Yes, we take our mascot very seriously.

And now you are sorry you ever asked, huh???

p.s. Love your boys. Was Annie with y'all on this trip?

Hayden wears his clothes backwards. Not every day but a lot of them. Remy did this for a year!?! Man, I am in for it.

I just saw a little boy at the grocery store the other day... he had his shirt on backwards! I think its cute!

My oldest has started wearing mismatched socks... on purpose. I have no idea why.

Yeah that tiger has it made! I actually go a week wearing the same stuff when I get home from work! Although I'm probably not as messy as a little boy but still it smells pretty bad by the end of the week! :)

My kids have more style than me.

Although it never fails that they want to wear shorts and tank tops in the winter and pants and sweaters in 100 degree summer heat. Why? I don't get it.

I had no idea about LSU's mascot. But I know nothing of any mascot or college football for that matter. I am such a girl. In a bad way. As for clothes my little guy is particular. He is not digging sleeveless shirts. It "hurts" him under the arm. Hah.

Much like your son's "same green shirt", my son has "the same gray shirt". Doesn't matter where he's going, what he's doing, or how long it has been since the shirt has been laundered ... he's still wearing it.
:::sigh:::

My little one either wants to be nekked or wearing footsie pjs. Either, or. And my darling teen, well, I can't tell you how many times a day I have to tell him to pull his pants up. The only +, they are no longer 10x too baggy!

I have never met a mascot. Although I have seen the Denver Nuggets mascot Rocky at every game I've gone to...from my seat.

Everything about my kids is weird. I'd like Mike the tiger as a guard dog.
