We had lots of scavenger hunts on our ranch for birthday parties. It was a lot of fun! Here I am on a scavenger hunt, hamming it up for the camera. Nice outfit, huh? This was taken in the early 1980's.

oh I am in love with the orange tights! nice ;)
I know, nice, right? That and the chili bowl bangs cut. lol What was my mom thinking?!!
Ahhh, what a cutie pie!
I went on a 'road rally' type of hunt with my girlfriend one time. One driver, one navigator, a set of clues. As you figure them out you are eventually led to a final destination. Ours was a bar and a Halloweeen party after the rally. We didn't finish. It was hard. But fun anyway. I've always wanted to plan one with our friends to include stopping for various items during the route but with the price of gas now days and the crazy people on the roads, it wouldn't be so easy anymore.
Hehe...love the outfit. There is a picture of me in the mid-70's here...outfit is pretty funny! http://tinyurl.com/339rxl
I wonder what we're all going to think when we look back on this decade and see how we dress. Right now I think everything is normal, but then I thought I looked good in the 80's with my big hair and raccoon eyeshadow as well! Come to think of it, here's a picture of me in the late 80's at age 18. Oh my! I look like something out of My Cousin Vinnie! http://tinyurl.com/338tum
Aren't you a cutie? Love the big ruffles :-) We should do a guess the decade post!
Hi Rhea,
Thank you for your comment! We are hanging in there. Knowing so many people are pulling for us really helps!!
Crystal Chick, Kim, Kat and Heather, thank you so much for stopping by and taking the time to comment!!
Crystal Chick, the road scavenger hunt sounds like fun!
Kim, great pictures!
Kat, thanks! Guess the decade photos would be lots of fun.
Hang in there, Heather!
I just published a new post, but for some reason it's showing up below this post on the scavenger hunt? Weird? How did it get out of order?
that's a cute outfit. I don't think I've ever been on a true scavenger hunt.
Burfica, thanks! I haven't done a scavenger hunt in a loooong time. I should make one up for the kids though, either in the neighborhood or in the house. They'd love that.
About your post showing below -- did you start it and save it? I started that post about my room on the 18th of March...but didn't publish until yesterday. And blogger put it on the 18th...the day I started rather than the day I published. I have no idea as to how to change the date...so I had to cut and paste...re-insert the pics...and delete the old one. What a pain. I am sure there was an easier way. Tech savvy I am not.
Right, what Kat said.... I've had that happen too and haven't figured out if there is a way to change the post date to appear the day you want it to rather than the day you start composing it. So I've had to copy it in the preview section and paste it to a new one and upload pics again.
I'm surprised I've gotten as far as I have with posts, pics, and even video!! LOL
What a cutie! Gimme back my skirt!
Kat - You're right. I started it and then saved it for a little bit later. Guess that explains it. That's annoying!
Crystalchick - I haven't figure out how to do audio and video yet. Just photos. I'm trying to learn more.
Chatti Patti - Was that your skirt? I'm so sorry! lol
I love it. I remember having a skirt very similar to that one.
The ruffles are almost as big as you are. :) But don't ya look cute.
Laura - How funny! I don't think I would have remembered this skirt if I hadn't seen a picture of it. I definitely don't have one in my closet now...lol
Valarie - Thanks! Those ruffles are something else. I was definitely more of a girly-girl when I was younger. I don't wear skirts as much now.
Thanks for coming by, guys!
Gosh I just love old photos like these!! You are too cute. I think I may need to follow suit and post some old pics too.
Kiera - Thanks for the compliment! I love old photos too. You should definitely post some of yourself! My mom just scanned a bunch in for me...so I have more I'm saving for a rainy day. :o)
