Loving these Rhea! I just ordered a macro lens and it will arrive in a week so I will be following closely in your footsteps in "Taking a Closer Look". Lovely pictures!

I have the big camera. I have a macro attachment. I even have photoshop (that I still haven't figured out how to use). And my pictures never look that good. Love the last one!

And you are a blogging fool lately. I need to find time to go and catch up with all your posts!

Kiera - exciting you are getting a macro lense! I don't have one, but my camera has some wild zoom qualities.

Crystal Chick - We have similar cameras, right? HOw do you like yours? I was using the regular auto setting and zooming in a lot...and then I tried the SCN setting and chose "foliage." I can't remember which one I used for these pictures...

Valarie - Thanks!

Alison - Thanks! The key is backing up a lot from what you want to take a picture of, and then super zooming in. Works really well.

Motherhood for Dummies - Summer is SUPER close for us in Texas. It heats up fast around here.

Bemudabluez - Nice to meet you, glad you stopped by! Thanks!

Burfica - Thanks!!

Kat - I have been blogging a lot lately...I have the blogging bug. Now, if only I could translate this into making money, I'd be happy.

Lady in Red - Thanks!!

Yes, I think ours are similar. I have the S5 IS and you have the S2, right?
Mine is black, yours silver.
Check the left hand side on the lens section and there should be 2 round buttons. One is for manual focus and the other is a flower that is the icon for 'Macro'. Check out that setting for closeups!

There are some days that I love love love my camera. I have tons of photos on my blog but don't really know if they would be considered 'good' shots or not. I only put them on there if I like them. It's my blog, right?? LOL
But there are other days that I am positively frustrated and want to scream because pictures are fuzzy or the focus isn't where I want or I can't do this or that. And sometimes when you want to capture a shot quick, it's near impossible if I have to fiddle with settings. I need to take a class as the workshop I attended recently was really great, but it was more for tips and techniques regardless of camera type. I need help with my specific camera.
But overall, it's good.a= And I do like alot of the shots. Besides, after I get done cropping and highlighting it's not the same picture anyway.
Have fun!
And try macro to get in really close. It's neat.

how pretty!

btw ~ you can only set the marco if you chose AV and I believe TV, push flower button once for marco, hold the button in for super macro.

I need the last photo blown up and on my wall in the living area of my home....perfect color, perfect match!!

VBF - Yep, my camera did that...all on it's own! lol I helped a little.

GoMommy - Thanks! I think my gift is that I take a million photos, so one or two have to turn out good. It's luck of the draw. :o)

KP - Thanks! I don't know that I'm good at it, I just do it a LOT and take a million photos.

Crystal Chick - You got it right, mine is the S2. I want the S5 though. Thanks for the head's up on the macro setting. I haven't been able to find my guide book for the camera...but I bet I could find one online. I haven't gotten into fixing pictures much... I want to get Photoshop Elements and try.

Me & My Puppies - Thanks for the info! That helps.

Chatti Patti - I like your color scheme in your living room if it matches the flower. very nice!

Thanks, everyone, for coming by and commenting!!
