My Little Stinkpot

Recently he got in trouble at school for trying to flush the doorstop down the toilet.

When I asked him why he did this, he told me someone dared him.
Double-dared him.

And, he told me, the doorstop, it wouldn't go down.

So, an important lesson in physics?

You've got one kid selling Smarties at a tidy profit and the other flushing stuff down the toilet. Boy are you in trouble!

Or geometry - that whole square peg, round hole thing.

Never boring, is it?

You Can't back out of a double dare. If it was a Triple dog dare. That would have been social suicide.

Clever and I so want to say, if some one dared you to jump off a building you would?

Did he actually think it would go down?

Your kids are great, and you're a great mom to see good sides to things even when they get in trouble.

Oh my. So...what did the school say about this momentous event? Between the smarties and this...are you amused or exacerbated?!

Maybe the should have double-dog dared him. Seems like he learned a pretty important lesson!

That is pure, hard-core logic he's using. Gotta respect that. :-)

That's funny. My post today was about a dare that Blake did that left his whole arm bruised from wrist to elbow.

They never learn and they get more inventive as they get older. This week, I found out that my little darling flashed his buddy and his buddy's little sister. Yep, just dropped trou without a second thought. I asked him why - he said they were bored. Guess he won't be invited back there anytime soon - sheesh! 20 years of raising boys and they finally thought up a new trick - gulp! Wonder what he's saving for Jr. High?

At least it was an old, junky doorstop (I'm assuming) and not a cellphone or something like that!

The double-dare is a very big deal. He had to follow through. Even if it didn't fit.

Oh, my heavens. Flushing a door stop? I know it's bad, but I love that!
