Now on to today's post.

We drove down to Austin for a few days to spend time with family.
It was 80 degrees there.
That's not winter weather, that's suntannin' weather!!

But while we were there, we saw one of their Christmas decorations had some attitude.

He was being a rebel. And just didn't want to fit in.

Oh yeah, he's a rebel alright.
Next thing you know, his pants will be down past his behind and he'll be painting graffiti all over the house.

I wouldn't be surprised to see him passed out on the lawn next year after drinking all the egg nog.

I don't know what 80 degrees is in metric, but it sounds a lot better than the snow and wind I'm looking at now.

There's a restaurant near me called Austin Grill. The waiters wear T-shirts that say "Keep Austin Weird." I think this Nutcracker goes along with the theme, don't you? But I have to say, A-town is one of my favorites! BTW, I've got a Giveaway goin' on at my place, too...please drop by and put some POP! in your New Year!

That is too funny ... hope he doesn't char his face if that thing lights up. I would love to have a pair of nutcrackers that big on my front porch. If I had a front porch. I just have a front step. Sad but true. Oh ... and 80 degrees? Can't imagine that right now.

For some reason I have always thought Nutcrackers were scary. Now I know why!

Hee! That is totally not what I expected to see.

And I now LOVE warm Christmases and wonder how I ever lived without them.

I've always been wary of nutcrackers, but I think I now agree with those who have commented that they are frightened of them. I think it is the clenched teeth.
Yes, after having another look - the clenched teeth......and maybe those staring, non-blinking eyes.
OK, can't look again, must move on to another blog!

Man, I've heard they always go big in Texas, but that nutcracker breaks some records. And the cigarette? Total attitude.

Don't tell the people who make all those crazy/funny TRUTH commercials.

80 degrees. I never got past that point. I just came in and it's about 12 freezing degrees outside. Makes you want to buy a plane ticket - fast.

I'm still crying over 80 degrees. Sigh...

At least he's outside. I hope that Anna doesn't fall for this guy :-)

There must be no smoking laws in private residences in TX, huh?

Teri said...

Oh geez. I have to admit that that is pretty funny. I wonder if the Nutcracker knows that smoking is bad for his health?

I love that nutcracker! I mean - the whole smoking thing is hilarious, but I just love nutcrackers in general. Rebels or not.

And here I am wondering what he's gonna do when he needs to put it out.... That whole stiff arm thing is gonna be a pain.
