Alpacas are funny lookin', but so cool.
They hum.
They are incredibly soft.

Now my 10-yr-old wants one.

My super-genius, evil sneaky plan

I have a plan.

to give someone an alpaca for their birthday.
Because I know that someone has a spouse who would LOVE to start an alpaca farm.

Do you know what an alpaca is?

They're related to camels and llamas.  And I think you can sell their fur/hair for clothing...because it's super soft.

They sure are cute!!

And, if this certain someone ends up having to buy a farm...then I can move my family onto the farm and start a vegetable garden and raise horses and live off the land...

So, that's my super sneaky plan...and it all starts with this guy:

Look at those cheeks!!

Everyone's mom wants to have an Alpaca farm, right?

Every morning, on my drive to work, I pass fields.
Fields growing crops...and fields with animals.

There's this one field that contains a white horse.
I thought that's all that lived there...
but one day when I finally stopped to take photos,
I found some other critters lived there.

Two Alpaca.

Did I ever tell you my mom wants to have an alpaca farm?

I think it's an awesome idea.

I grew up on a ranch, so I love having animals and land.

And a black calf.

But this is the beauty that caught my eye.

My boys named her "Thistle" because the field has tons of wild thistle growing.

She's sweet & friendly.

Yes, yes, Ms. Alpaca, I'm sure you are too...
but you basically ignored me to munch on grass.

Donny's in love with Thistle too.

She wanted to come home with us...

I'm not sure what Annie would think of that.
