Coffee Bean Wars in the Grocery Store

Sometimes my children turn into wild heathens and go nuts in the grocery store.

I never know when it's going to happen.

We can walk into the store, and they are completely normal, well-behaving children...and then suddenly they turn into WILD THINGS!

They get coffee beans from the tray of the grinder and start having coffee bean wars!
Then I find the coffee beans in their pants when I do laundry...and on the floor...and they look like deer pellets, if you know what I mean.

Does everyone's children do this?!!

My kids don't do that. Of course, I have them firmly strapped into the cart. It's kind of awkward with the 19-year-old:-) Hee, hee, hee.

My children know I'm a better shot with thrown objects than they are ;-)

My kids go after those automatic coupon dispensers.

When he was really young, a friend of mine stuck a coffee bean up his nose at the grocery store and ended up having to go to the hospital... my sister and I used to try to eat them... they're just so tempting!

My girls refuse to go to the store. And if they are there...it's the coupons they go after.

Of course all of our children have embarrassed us in public in one way or another - my favorite was my toddler turning off ALL the lights right in the middle of church services.

Gosh, no -- my children were perfect in every way . . . right.
I think that's their job, to humble you. Under 10, they step on your toes; over 10, they step on your heart. Have a cuppa and enjoy the memory. . .

Luckily for all of us mine hardly ever go grocery shopping with me anymore, or only one goes. However, my hubs made up a great punishment for when they have acted up. He once made them hold hands in the store. I only had to mention that when needed and they stopped acting up. Did I mention they are boys?
