Random Saturday

My younger sister sent me this flowers back in November, and I happened to find this picture when I was going through a pile of stuff on the kitchen counter. The flowers made me so happy at the time that I decided to post them today to bring a smile to my face.

I cooked this for dinner a few nights ago and for some reason, felt inspired to take a picture of it. It's chicken, noodles, broccoli and pesto sauce. Super yummy crowd pleaser.

We took Annie to the creek today by our house. She is soaking wet in this photo and running in the woods, being adventure puppy! Oh, the simple joys of a dog's life.

Finally, one of my older sister's is in town visiting, as are my three nieces. My ten year old niece showed me this awesome game where you get to do knee replacement surgery! Seriously. It was a lot of fun. Check it out when you have a chance. Very entertaining, and I sure learned something.

That pasta looks delicious, the dog is adorable and the flowers are beautiful. Basically this is an award winning post :)

Thanks for visiting, Rhea! Yes, the finch did stop...eventually; thank goodness. I love tulips too - always have some on the mantlepiece. Your lab is sooo typical - always in the water...

Oh...I got tulips yesterday at Sam's...they always have the best prices. I have a bunch of 30 on my dining room table...I just love them. But they really don't last long!

What color tulips did you buy, Kat? They really don't last long at all, unfortunately.

Labs do seem to love the water, Hannah, I agree. My mom's lab dove into a pond once when I was walking him, much to my surprise.

my husband won't eat anything with broccoli in it, and he hates the smell. When I worked for Food Sense, I read something about Super Tasters (people with lots of tastebuds who can taste that ph paper stuff..am I making sense?) ANyway, he is one of those, and they tend think Broccoli has a strong bitter flavor.
Kind of sad, as I love broccoli.

Hey, Tearese! That stinks your hubby won't eat broccoli. It's the one veggie my kids love. I cook it with lemon, a tiny amount of butter and lemon pepper. They LOVE it. But, if broccoli tasted bitter to me, I might not eat it either. Thanks for stopping by!

ThHanks for stopping by & commenting on my blog the other day. =)

Tulips are my favorite flowers. Give me those over roses any day! And that pasta dish looks *amazing*. I have been known to photograph my food too. ;-) I am going to have to remember that one! Looks nice & simple too!

Hey, Dawn! Thanks for coming by my blog. This pasta dish is really yummy, I stole it from my mom, and it is really easy to make (I'm not a huge cook but I'm trying to expand my repertoire).
