Now on to other things.

I went with Remy's first grade class to a local pumpkin farm.

They had to wear their class shirts, of which color Remy's was pink.
Yep, his whole class had to wear pink.
Azalea pink.
and I happen to think this color looks great on Remy,
so I took a million photos because it's rare to see him in pink.

Here he is waiting for the bus with his class, joking around.
He's the one in the shorts.

And I followed the bus in my car...
I've helped chaperon ON the bus before, and let me tell you, it's a little scary.
The free-flying, manic energy of around 100 six and seven-year-olds is a wild thing to behold.
so I was happy to view it from my own car.
And of course, I can see Remy sitting in the back of the bus.

That's him. Can you tell he is making farting noises with his armpit?
Yep, he is.
I'm so proud.
I have never been able to do it myself.
I'm slightly envious.

Now on to the views that I observed on this trip:

Please tell me this is a female goat who needs to be milked...

Because otherwise this goat has something else going on...
and it scares me.

Have you ever heard of a goat bridge?
Let me show you:

See that goat on the top right?
Now here's the same goat looking down at me.

I've never had a goat look down at me before.
It felt weird.

This is where the kids picked pumpkins.

And of all the bright orange, perfectly rotund pumpkins?

My unique child picked this one:

He sees things a little differently.
Just like his mama.

What a fun day! Making fart noises with your armpits is something I've never been able to do either.
Love the green pumpkin!!
Oh and PINK....priceless.

What the hell? I never knew goats liked being up high! That is just bizarre! And shame on that teacher for choosing that color for both the boys and girls to wear! LOL! But you're right, the pink hue looks great with Remy's coloring! But Remy? That is the ugliest excuse for a pumpkin I've ever seen!

Great pics!

Justine :o )

I love Remy's class shirts. I'm surprised that the color was chosen - but I like it. What does Remy think of it?

Last year in Madalyn's class - the shirt color was royal blue. And all the names of the kids were written on it. In BLACK. You can't read a thing. I don't know who chose - but I don't know what they might have been thinking either.

Did you bring that pumpkin home? Maybe you can spray paint it orange? :-)

Ive never heard of a goat bridge. Interesting.
If you could find a big pumpkin in that color, it would be pretty cool. You could carve it and in the dark, possibly all you would see is the glowing face.

A goat looked down on you.

I'm still laughing.

Girl, what is up with all these goats lately? ;) We still don't know how the two ended up in our yard. Weird.

Oh, and the goat looking down at you? That would have freaked. me. out. {shudder}

My oldest girl's class tees for Kindergarten were yellow... I'm talking bright-neon-sear-your-corneas- yellow!

Looks like a great time. I love Remy in the pink and how you both see the world. You are just so special (and I mean that in a very good way, not like you are 'special')

I have seen a goat bridge at the pumpkin patch that's close to me! They would be on the roof of the barn as well...crazy I know!

Indy said...

The goat bridge hasn't caught on here. I think I would have freaked out the first time I saw it. Love his pumpkin and his pink shirt.

Pseudo said...

I've been running into a lot of goats on the interenet the last two days...hmmm I do like the pink shirts too.

Momma Trish said...

That pumpkin would make an awesomely scary Jackolantern. Sadly, we don't have pumpkin patches up here. We always have to go to the grocery or garden center to get a pumpkin from the display this time of year. It's a shame our kids don't get this experience, as it looks really fun.

The pink shirts are lovely. And your son is very very cute!

Cute pics!!!

The unmilked animal? Ouch. Also? I find goats highly suspicious and sort of scary.

Oh, I love Remy - a kid after my own heart.

Bet he wants to bring home the Charlie Brown Christmas tree every year, too?

My mom always had to talk me out of it every year.

This blogosphere is being taken over by goats - quite scary, really. And I'm an Aggie!

How fun!
I miss the field trips with my kiddo. He's in 4th grade now, so they don't do so many of them anymore. Sigh.

But, they will be having a 4th grade farewell trip, I believe.

*woeful sigh*

Nooooooo!!!

I'd like to know whose executive decision it was to pick "pink" shirts. Pretty cool that the boys were wearin' 'em too...

Looks like a fun trip - love the goat looking down on you pic. And that other goat, well that's just best left on the farm, thankyouverymuch!

My son's class color is purple. A lavender purple. What's that all about? Why can't they pick a neutral color?

carrie said...

yep, he sure did pick a winner!

Angie's Spot said...

What is up with the goat walk? The corn maze that we went to last Sunday had one. So weird?! And props to Remy for picking the unique gourd. Just like my girls. They beat to their own drummers.

Captain Dumbass said...

My son just asked what the green thing the little girl is holding was, but he's only 5. Still, maybe don't mention that to Remy.

Oh, and he's wearing shorts to the pumpkin patch. How nice. Mine was bundled up like an eskimo. Can we come stay with you until... May?

Susie said...

That is strange...from the color of the shirts to the goat walk!! You lead an absurd life don't you? hee, hee, hee.

My girls picked out two green pumpkins this weekend. We made an alien and a frankenstein out of them.

Different is good and special!

Holy Goat Balls!!!

I can't make my armpits fart either...

PAPATV said...

I feel like I arrived to the pumpkin patch late and the bus already left. I guess I'll go play bridge with the goats. If they'll let me.

Anonymous said...

Looks like you had a great time at the pumpkin patch! Nice pictorial, heheh.

I think they used to call the hole in the goat bridge the 'hat hole': that's where the goats would reach down and snatch the hats from unsuspecting ladies and gentlemen, back when they wore hats.

Of course, I could be totally making that up.

Marrdy said...

What a cute boy to make his mama proud with farting noises. Just love those boys. Looks like you ahd a great day.

I lived in the DFW area for 39 years. And I miss it so very very much! Comanche is 150 miles southwest of the metroplex. 100 miles east of Abilene, 100 west of Waco/Temple. 100 miles north west of Austin and 150 miles north of San Antonio. So another words: We are in the middle of nowhere! LOL

My kids always pick the odd pumpkins too--what's that about? And that goat? OMG! S-C-A-R-Y!
