Driving Under the Influence

Head's up, I'm going to post several times today.
You just never know what I might end up throwing at ya.
You've been forewarned.

I sometimes whip out my camera while I'm driving.
It's not smart.

But I can't resist.

So here are some of my photos of driving under the influence of the photo bug.

Annie in the front seat.

She usually has her head stuck out a window.

but sometimes my driving makes her nervous.

I was yielding here when I saw a cute grove of trees.

What kind of trees, I have no idea.

Anybody speak tree?

I think that's a telephone pole...but right now it's sending a different kind of message.

Do you ever snap photos while driving or am I the only weirdo one?

Those are Crepe Myrtles! They're a southern staple. We have 2 white ones in front of our house, and 2 fuschia ones near our pool.

Aren't you glad I shared?

And yes, I take pictures while driving...well, I pull over. Sometimes.

Love the telephone pole. Does send a message of a living cross. Isn't is how we all see it. As living not gone!

Great pictures! Your dog is so pretty. Just a gorgeous animal:-)

I don't take pictures when I am driving because they just don't ever turn out.

Can't wait to see what else you throw at us today.

Weirdo here. just look at my blog half the photos are taking from my driver's set. I drive with baby on my lap and just point out the window. My last 365 photos was of me driving and taking pics. The kids bet their friend whether or not I will have baby with me when I pick them up. Then they call their friends and say: See, I told ya she would.

I speak a little tree. I'm pretty sure those are Crepe Myrtles. And I love Annie. :-)

I love to keep a camera (disposable) in the car, and I have seen lots of funny things on the Beltway! My favorite photo was a pickup truck that was hauling a giant lobster. I guess it was from a restaurant or something. It was so big you coulnd't barely see the truck under it!

Tisk tisk, you Texas girl. How could you not know a crepe myrtle? That's about the only thing that will grow in our heat!

Definitely crepe myrtles! We have them here in VA all over the place and when they are in full glory and some wind, it looks like skittles falling from heaven!

I too drive under the influence...I am not a mother against driving under the influence of my camera.

The message is pray for the economy.

I noted you on my post today...it will definitely make you laugh...a lot.

Have a wonderful weekend my wonderful adopted little sister.

Love ya.

On my driving trip back from California, I took a pic of the 80 MPH speed limit sign. WHILE I was going 80 MPH. THAT'S some mad photo/driving skillz.

Oh how I love that dog of yours. My husband took our chocolate lab out hunting today so I have the black lab in for a spa day. So far we've bathed, cuddled and now he's surfing the web with me. Well, one of us has also licked the screen. I'm not saying which one.

LOL yeah I'm a driving snapper. My Fx4 today is of one I took while driving.

LOVE Annie - I can just see her enjoying sticking her head out the window.

Everyone does have those right...Crepe Myrtles. My question is - why do they have them all lined up like that?

I take pictures while driving all the time. In fact last week I took pictures through a rainy windshield and posted them on my photography blog. I'm not saying they are fabulous, but they are interesting.

I don't because I can barely drive period let alone while I'm trying to do something else! In fact if someone calls and they know I'm driving they'll say "Ohhh gosh--I'll let you go" That's how bad of a driver I am! haha

for me it's more like "damnit! that's such a great/hideous/awesome/hilarious shot. too bad i don't have my camera with me"

note to self...self! always carry your camera.

Cannot believe that you take pictures while driving!!! Where in the world did you get the extra hand?? I use one for my phone, one to write with and when I have the ear piece in I eat lunch while typing on the laptop, so please let me know how you do that, so sick of those "partol Officer" pictures and stuff.
You dog is very pretty and looking in the eyes some kinda smitten to you also!!!

I am impressed that you will be writing more than once a day. I can barely do it four times a week. I don't take pictures when driving. I can never remember my camera. But maybe if I left in my camera in the car....I get it.

I take pics when driving, too!

The t-phone pole does look like a cross but also looks like it has poison ivy COVERING it. What does THAT mean? ;)

I have a dog named Annie too! She is a Boxer. I have another boxer named Sophie.

Not while driving. But we do tend to pull over and take pictures of oddities. Generally, weird signs.

I don't speak tree either...but I did know that those are crepe myrtles. And that they need some pruning. Those branches along the bottom are a no-no.

I don't take pictures when I am driving. But I want a small camera to fit in my purse. So that I always have it with me. So that I could take a picture if I wanted. Like of bumper stickers or strange personalized plates. Or other stuff that can easily fascinate me.

I have taken pics while driving. It is usually of something in the sky though, like a rainbow, cool clod formation, or smoke clouds when we get brush fires.

great shots. I have tried to video tape my kids well driving, it didn't work out.

Hubby got me a little Sony Cyber-shot to carry in my purse for times I wanted to get a quick shot of something and didn't have time to wrestle with the Canon, which btw, I still can't get the settings right on. Arrrrgggghhhh.
So sometimes I do get pics while I'm out. But managing lipstick, Starbucks, radio/cd player, traffic, etc.....
a camera is more than I can really handle most days while driving. But dang it, I'm gonna try again soon.
'Officer, it's Rhea's fault. She made me cut 3 drivers off and swerve over 2 lanes to get that last shot.' ;)

I almost had an accident once, while trying to drive and take a pic, so I stopped. However, I usually have a camera with me at all times, so you never know when I might brave up and try it again.
