And last week, we went and stood in line at the TX DPS for 3 1/2 hours
to get his learner's permit.

3 1/2 hours!!
We'd been warned it could take 3-5 hours.
I think he would have slept over night in that line if he'd had to.

Wow... it doesn't seem he should be old enough!!!
Oh the Texas DPS stories. Here in Austin there was NO PLACE to park. So everyone parked in a lot across the street where a tow truck would immediately swoop in. It recently moved to a former Sam's Club building - plenty of parking. Finally.
