As long as the Musical Mafia didn't call a hit

My 13 yr old son plays in the middle school band.
And we rent his trombone from a local music store, Music & Arts.

I realized this week I'd skipped a payment.

As I hurried to make the phone call in order to get caught up on occurred to me that there might be a musical mafia.  I didn't want to have to get a loan from a shylock...or get iced.

Maybe, if there is a musical mafia, they put the hit out on my son...they outsource...and use bullies from the local middle school to collect.

I'd feel so guilty.

We're paid up though.
Donny can play his trombone safely.

I know, sometimes I think too much.
And follow too many rabbit trails.
I'm weird like that.

Having owned a music store, I can assure you there is a MSM -- run by the store owner. But, you would be totally safe.

Some excuses for non-payment I've heard:
"I didn't think I had to pay every month since I didn't get a coupon book for my contract." (None offered)

"Since I haven't paid for four months, can we just start from now?" (Huh!)

"I don't think I should have to pay a rental fee, if my boy/girl doesn't want to practice." (Huh? Huh?)

"I shouldn't pay until we know that's the instrument he really wants." (Get the Aspirin...)

If you called to make it right, you're a favorite of the store. Don't worry about it. Enjoy the practicing!

My son plays the same instrument and we rent from the same Florida! I've always wondered what exactly they will do if I don't pay! Too funny!!
