Where are 12 yr olds when you need them?!

I was at work today, staring at the computer screen, trying to ignore the chime of more and more email pouring in my inbox, avoiding looking at the stack of papers piling higher on my desk like the Leaning Tower of Pisa...and I suddenly felt the strong urge to pull a prank.

Have you watched The Office?

Seriously the most hilarious show I've seen in a long time.
Jim is always making jello with Dwight's stapler inside.
Or hiding someone's cell phone and calling it nonstop...and so on.

I don't know many prank ideas.

My sons have pranked my computer before...by taping a small piece of paper to the bottom of my mouse, which breaks the signal and makes your mouse not work...

I need some good (but not too mean or awful) office prank ideas.

Help!

Where's my 12 yr old when I need him?!

I so LUV the Office, but haven't seen it in awhile.

MTV has a new Pranked show coming out later this month!

Oh lord I am ALL about the pranks All-ways! Hmm let me think... When I worked in an office I used to put hhot sauce on my bosses phone, the part that touches the mouth!! REALLY REALLY hot sauce, the kind that stings!

AND

I also used to put cooking dye in the water tank

AND

Write strange and mysterious love notes to my co-workers in the copy machine.

But I got fired, so don't listen to me

Oh my goodness, you came to the right place girlfriend. I have the grandmother of all office pranks.

What you do is wait until you co-worker has typed up some really big long document. Something that has taken them hours and hours. Then you go in and hit search and replace and in one operation, you remove ALL the spaces! It turns the whole document into one big long word!

It is completely unrecoverable. The only way to fix it is to go back in and painstakingly re-space every single word in the entire document. Of course, if you're a nice person, you save a copy for them, but if it's someone you don't like.... I'm just sayin'

Don't tell anyone you heard it from me, I'll deny everything! Good luck!

My co workers once arranged it so that my computer would open its CD tray and make a raspberry/fart noise every three minutes. I knew just enough to make it stop, but they went one step further and connected it to the start up, so the next time I rebooted, it did it again. OF course, I knew who had administrative rights so I got them back by working with some other folks to make up some false orders (I was in the military at the time) for a really undesirable location. The fake orders were just real looking enough to fool the person for about a minute.

The rule in our house is that the girls must turn off the computer before they go to bed. If they don't, Michael turns it off. But...he changes the screen saver to things like Barney. Or the Jonas Brothers (which annoys the heck out of Katie). And then Katie tries to get back at him by making some sort of bizarre rolling comment as Michael's screen saver.

The Office is an awesome show! I think the paper on the mouse one would be too funny.

I love the Office but my office is very stern on pranks. If you so much as make a joke about anyone, you're called into HR before you end the statement.

The Office is the funniest shit I've ever seen... Jim is my hero.

I don't know any pranks that wouldn't get you fired, or arrested... sorry.

all of those sound like the type of pranks that could get you fired. Careful of anything that could be sexual harassment. You could change calendars to the wrong month but right day and confuse people that way. Nothing in food or drink, could have disastrous results if someone is allergic.

Take a screen shot of a computer....load that as the desktop and then hide all of the icons! Then, they think something is seriously wrong!

Unplugging the keyboard is fun, too!
