Out of the Box - UPDATED

(Info about Monogram Chick giveaway at the bottom of this post!!!)

So, I need your advice.

Well, I already did it, so it's too late to advise me against it.
But I'm up for discussion.

I've posted about what people put on their cars...
and discussed what I might be willing to put on mine.

Well, I did it. I put the first sticker on my new-to-me car I've had for four months.

I got a car decal from the Monogram Chick.

Monogram Chick

And, I didn't get my initials.

Wanna see what I got?

Yep, the name of my blog.
On my car.
for all to see.

Do you think this is a good idea?
Or a bad idea?

Will all my neighbors Google it?
Will the ladies in carpool?
The stranger behind me in the Starbucks drive-thru?

Isn't it CUTE though?
Look at the pretty aqua color!!

She designed it JUST for me.
I love it!
It makes me happy to see it.

Tell me what you think of this BOLD move.
Genius?
Or Stupid?

It's possible no one will notice...

Monogram Chick

I just realized she's having a giveaway!! You have to check it out.

Super cute!!

I am thinking that people will think it's a business. I know I would usually forget what it was by the time I get home. I am forgetful like that.

Are you wanting more blog traffic?

I LOVE IT! But here's the bad part...you should have put the actual address somewhere on there! Then everyone would be forced to write it down, go home and check on your site! Well Rhea, maybe they can just google you...think I'll go see if it works. I'll let you know!

And to think I doubted Google! What was I thinking?

Very cute! And I have been known to Google things I see on cars, so it could happen. Honestly, it probably won't bring droves of people from search engines, but a few new hits will probably come to fruition. :-)

I have to agree with Andrea .. most will probably think it's a business.

It is SUPER cute!

I think it's awesome, but now you can't say anything bad about your neighbors in case they google you and find your blog. :)

I think that it is an awesome idea. You should totally keep it. People can already Google for your blog so I don't see it as a big deal. I have my blog on my business cards. It is just a way to promote yourself a little more and you totally should.

I did not know they could make car decals that are not initials!! I want one. I wonder what they could do with mine. There is nothing to outline. And I'd want my blog address. Or something. Oh, so cool. I just placed a huge order with them yesterday - got lots of Christmas gifts.

I hate when people put crazy bumper stickers on their car.. but that is super cute!! it's only a bad idea if you would be upset about the neighbor, school teachers, preacher finding your blog.

I don't have any kind of bumper stickers on mine. I do like reading funny ones on others though.

Yours is really sweet!! Yes, good idea.

Awesome, I want one now- as soon as I get an actual logo that is. LOL
Good luck with the job interview with the big bosses (read about it at SITS).

I. Love. It.

Because I am all about some personalization AND self-promotion. It's a win-win. Oh yes, it is.

I just slapped a big ol' "G" on my van. The Georgia "G." But it's a magnet...a big one...so I can take it off at the end of football season. My husband isn't big on permanent stickers on the car.

If someone steals my "G" I'm going to get out my gun.

I love it, but don't think I would have done it for fear that peeps I don't want knowing about my blog would know about my blog. But, most peeps prolly won't even realize what it "is".

Insane Mama said...

I LOVE IT! I'm going to get one too. Yes, you will get some google searches

Oh, I totally love it!!!!!!!! Wish I could do it! But hey, while you were at it, you should have added the .blogspot.com to it!

Justine :o )

Captain Dumbass said...

That is awesome. I'd love one but I really want to get rid of my gas guzzling man van so then I'd have nowhere to stick it and it would get lost and I'd be really cheesed when I got a new car and then couldn't find the damn sticker again. Whew!

Anonymous said...

you go, girl! blog pride. now, when's the tattoo happening??!!

Darcy @ m3b said...

I would be afraid that people would leave comment about my Chicago driving in Iowa on my blog.

Then I might have to road rage, because I'd get the message right away on my iphone, so I'd know who was sending it.

No way would I put my blog on my car. But I like my privacy too much. and I like my small readership. and I'm kind of a crazy driver.

but it looks cute!

Casey's trio said...

Very cute...I think you might possibly get some google searches from it so it's only bad if you don't want to be found:)

Anonymous said...

I will NEVER allow a bumper sticker to be pasted onto any of my vehicles, for as long as I live.

But a super-cool transparent decal on the back window, that looks TOTALLY AWESOME?? Yeah!!

I like the artwork, and you are sure to get hits from people googling from their iPhones :D.

Rela Pantaleon said...

If you are okay with other people within your neighborhood and circle discovering your blog and reading about your family and thoughts, then that should be ok.

Anyway, that's a very nice decal!!!

Anonymous said...

It's cute!

Live.Love.Eat said...

It came out really nice! BUT like one person said, the only bad thing is you can't say anything bad about your neighbors now. Well, that's not really a bad thing because that isn't something you would do anyway, right ? :) I am sure you will get googled. It's definitely an intriguing phrase.
