A Turtle Limmerick

There once was a turtle named Claire Sinclair,
who wished to grown wings and soar through the air.

Her friends exclaimed, "Turtles are made for the water!"
but Claire didn't give up, she knew she was smarter.

Her sisters told her to follow her dreams,
her parents supported her in all things.

So, she befriended an eagle who traded a ride for some fish
and Claire the Smart Turtle fulfilled her greatest wish.

Moral of the story:
Find a way to follow your dreams,
even if they're unconventional.

And

Supportive friends & family can make a world of difference.

Now, that would make a nice children's story... I'm glad the eagle didn't eat Claire! and that she's settled down after achieving one of her dreams... it really does matter if family and friends are supportive... thanks for sharing...

that's a wonderful story. Just not sure about the eagle, because in actual fact eagles pick up tortoises and drop them on rocks in order to be able to eat them. So could it not perhaps be another kind of bird? Something that doesn't normally eat tortoises?
