God made them all?
That's all I can think of.
My first thought is that you took pictures of them. no too obvious. They can all be found in TX? You saw them on vaction? I know even better you walked 4 miles out of your way to see them when you could have just looked out your back door....Nope that was me in NYC. Sorry I'm projecting there.
They survive despite difficult circumstances. Like being in Texas!

They can all be eaten! Fried grasshoppers, grilled cactus, barbecued beef, and sauteed sunflower seeds... come visit when you can...
