The Vigin Mary danced ballet to rock music while holding a fake baby Jesus

I haven't been to church in years, but apparently it's changed a LOT since I last went.
(And, no, I was not struck down by lightening when I entered!)

Now there are churches the size of a concert arena.

with large screen TVs and impressive graphics.

and an entire rock band including a drummer in a cage.

I witnessed a live nativity event that was narrated in English AND Spanish.

with real Llamas, a donkey, sheep and a goat!

Were there LLAMAS in Jerusalem?

And then, we were hellishly captured reverently worshiping inside the main worship center for an hour.

I thought we were going to sing Christmas carols...but no.

We sat through an hour-long Christian infomercial.

Where people talked about doing drugs and thinking about blowing out their brains until they found the light.

Yes, my kids were with me.

And at one point, the Virgin Mary danced ballet to Rock music while holding a fake Baby Jesus.

I was in awe.

I couldn't make this stuff up if I tried.***

***(no animals or Christians were harmed in the making of this post, and I might have dramatized things a bit.because that's what I do best.)

my parents church is like that and I can't stand it. Thankfully, there are still some traditional trees out there.

Sorry, I am watching a show about Christmas trees so that is where the word tree came from. I meant to say, 'some traditional churches out there.'
