More Interviews with the Little People.

Here are my boys. Donny is eleven years old and his answers are in blue. Remy is six years old and his answers are in red. (Those are their favorite colors, respectively) My comments will be green.
And this is Annie, which is relavent to a question in these interviews. Hehe. She is the sweetest, most loving lab ever, and a member of our family.

Here we go:

How would your friends describe you?
Fun
Nice, weird, funny.

What is a mistake you have made that you wish you could undo?

Farting when I didn’t want to. (yah, right. He giggles wildly every time he passes gas)

Eating unhealty (We had a time in our life where we ate horribly, but made huge changes the last year.)

Where do you see yourself 5 years from now?
Farting. (He is giggling wildly now)
Driving (oh, heaven help us)

If you could be any animal, what would you be?
A kitty. (Why Remy?) Because they’re cute.
A dog, because they’re so pampered.

What do you collect? What would you like to collect?
Beebee’s and toy dogs.
Rocks but I’d like to collect ancient artifacts. (hmmm...that sounds expensive.)

If you could jump into a book, which one would it be?
Oscar and the Mooncats. (Oscar is a cat who jumps to the moon)
The Percy Jackson series (This is an amazing series about a half-blooded demi-god boy who has to go on missions to save mythological creatures and deal with the greek gods. Awesome series)

What’s your favorite song?
Enter Sandman by Metallica (all 6 years olds listen to this right?)
Pump it Louder by Black Eyed Peas

If you could dress Annie up as anything you wanted, what would it be?
A cat.
A demon dog and have her sneak up on people. (he seems so level headed most of the time and then every now and then something like this answer pops out...scary)

What’s your favorite drink?
Apple juice (This child is fueled by apple juice. Seriously)
Cherry vanilla Dr Pepper (He is only allowed a soft drink on Fridays)

If you could play any instrument, what would it be?
Saxophone
Drums (he’s signed up to play the trombone in middle school band starting in the fall)

If you could run into any magical creature, what would you choose?
A cat-dog and a hippogriff.
A god.

If Aliens landed in our backyard and wanted to take you to their home planet for a month, who is the one person you would take with you and the one item you would take?

Annie and my scooter. (Not his mother? Seriously? The dog?)

Jim, because he has such excellent knowledge, would be useful to survive anywhere and would help me make good decisions. And I’d take a weapon, to defend myself.

(The weapon I heartily agree with, and I can understand taking Jim, my stepfather, his grandfather but not me, not his mom?!! Seriously? I'm crushed)

The minds of children. I am going to have to do an interview with mine. Mostly because I cannot think of what to blog about today :-)

cute idea - interviewing your kids. out of the mouths of babes, right?!
Happy Mother's Day, Rhea!

Great idea.

Farting? He had me rolling on the ground too.

Well, Rhea, I tried it. I interviewed Katie. She must be in a mood...because most of what I got was "I don't know." Oh, well...back to the drawing board.

Fun interview. Gotta be prepared for any answer.
Cool that you only let them have a little soda on Friday. :)

OMG I LOVED THIS! YOu must do this again. It's so fun to hear (oops, read) kids answers! LOL

Oh, yes they're ready for Great adventures, with Alien, already at 6 years old. But recognize that Donnie has thought to every details of his travel! He's well organized!

Love the answers (and your comments) on ``Where do you see yourself 5 years from now?''!!!

I liked the comments in green to help explain everything. Thanks for giving us the inside scoop.

Totally sweet Rhea... and a lovely thing to have to show them in about 10 years time!!! Perhaps you can keep asking the same questions every five years and see how the answers change??

Love the seal pics too!

Ok, I LOVE the kid interviews. My favorite answer is the "Dogs because they're pampered" one. How smart! That's a really good call. Even if dogs eat their own poop . . .

Oh I wish that my Belly bean could talk! :-P xx

Valarie - I'm glad I'm not the only one who has younger children listing to rock music. It's that darn Guitar Hero and Rock Band influence. lol

Kat - You really should interview yours! oops, just read your second comment. It was a no go, huh? Maybe you just need questions that will get her excited...

Uburburber - Happy Mother's Day to you too! Thanks!

OhMommy - My boys think farting (the act of doing so and the word) is the most brilliant, exciting thing ever, I swear. lol

Crystal Chick - My hubby is a huge soft drink fan, so I try my best to limit it and keep it out of the house. It's so easy to fall into that trap...bad for teeth and nothing healthy about it. I've cut it out of my diet and it was HARD.

April - Thanks!! I did interviews with the kids a week or so ago...this is my second time, and I will definitely keep doing it...as long as I can keep thinking up good questions. lol

Catherine - Donny takes these questions seriously...but Remy was more about having fun and being silly. Makes sense for their ages.

David - Thanks! My boys crack me up. They can be so much fun.

Indy - Glad my comments in green helped. lol I tried not to go overboard.

Bush Babe - Good idea about bringing up the same questions every few years to see what they say. I was thinking about asking my hubby the same questions...

Law Student Hot Mama - LOL about them eating their own poop. I'll remind him about that. We all adore our Annie so much, she's seriously pampered but we were talking about it tonight how she licks herself in embarrassing places and eats her own throw up. Not the most thrilling habits. lol

Giggle - Belly Bean? I love it! Great term. Just you wait. He/she will be out and making all kinds of noise before you know it.

Oh yeah, Metallica is a staple in every 6 year old's library. It was in mine when he was 6. That and the AC/DC CD he got for Christmas from his DAD.

Great interview, great answers!! Can I borrow the idea? I'd love to see what my boy has to say.
