Here is the picture on my computer desktop. Someone had a meme going around asking what your desktops looked like, so here is mine!! A year ago, for my 30th birthday, my mom took me to California and we explored and hiked the Monterey, Carmel, Big Sur area. It was amazing, and I had so much fun. I also took a million photos. I need to share more of them. But, for now, here is the one I see every day on my computer. I wish I could jump into this picture and enjoy myself. It's China Cove in Point Lobos Reserve in Carmel, California.
I'm working on planning a trip to take my boys to visit the area for a summer trip. I'm hoping I can work it out.
Anyway, look for another post from me later Saturday. This was just my experimental post.

Looks like it worked. My desktop is a photo of my car, in fact it's the same one posted on my blog. Look for the yellow stinger missle.
Well its Saturday and I am seeing the post, so it must have worked. :)
Looks like it worked. I accidentally discovered that feature. I wrote a draft, went in to change the date and time so I could post it. When I hit post, it wouldn't post. Turns out I had gotten the time wrong by a few minutes and it was waiting.
I love that picture. Makes me long for home. I have the sad face picture of Loodle on my desktop, the one where she's scared of the red eye light on my camera.
What a beautiful scene for your desktop. I'm afraid thought that I would never get anything done, because I'd be staring at that and daydreaming too much!
That is a gorgeous photo. I love the California coasts...with the water that has carved "holes" into the rocks.
I need to use that new google feature. I think that both of us have made the mistake of starting a post...saving it...and publishing it later...only to have it show up on the date we originally wrote it rather than when we published. Glad that google got that worked out.
Re Lost -- did you see in the comments section a while back, I gave you the link for the countdown? And that last line on Lost...actually helps to explain a lot to me. Like how the Black Rock ended up on the island. Or how the polar bears got there. Or maybe even how the plane crashed - maybe by not pushing the button...the island moved. And it explains why there are only six. I just love that show!!
Complaint Department Manager - Love the yellow stinger missle. lol
Valarie - Well, the post didn't work exactly, I messed something up, but I posted it any way. I think I know what I did wrong.
All Things BD - It's a new feature that they just added. I can't imagine seeing that picture and thinking of home, that's incredible! I'm so jealous. That's funny you have the sad loodle face on your desktop. hehe It's a great photo, priceless.
Misty Dawn - thanks! I do love that picture. I want to go back there and visit soon.
Kat - Those holes carved by water (like in ithe picture) are called Sea Arches, I think. I LOVE them too. I wish we had those here in Texas. lol Thank you for the countdown link! I did get it, sorry for not saying anything. Sometimes I forget if I made a comment or just thought about making one. I was so excited about this new plot twist with the show and discovering HOW the island moves.
Isn't it a great feature to post when you want to? I really like it.
Beautiful pictures.
Oh, I do the same thing. I'll come and check on your blog. And later come back to see your comment to my comment...and I have no comment to begin with. Then I wonder if google is out to get me...or I'm just losing my mind. And sometimes I think I do comment...but I don't enter the words correctly on the verifyer...and click out before I try again. But I am never quite sure :-)
Beautiful pictures. Really lovely.
I lurve this new feature it's saving me hours! LOL Last week I had something ready for every single day by Sunday night!
Fantastic pictures Rhea
How many travel hours to come to Carmel? 12 - 14? Too bad!
Trying to master computing has always turned against me. So I don't even try experimenting.
Oh my......how beautiful!!! I've got to try the timing thingy! Looks like it worked out great!!!
I'm excited about the post-delay feature too, they read my mind. I hope you get to dip your toes in that icy blue water. And I hope it's as blue as the pic. I've never been there, and I live 1 hour away! It looks far too serene to be adulterated (er, toddlerated) by my 3 wild ones. Will have to put it on my list. : )
