However, the most recent ad campaign I've seen in their stores has been a strange one.
They have signs up in their stores saying,
"Beer because you never got that pony."
(Or something along those lines.)
Who buys the most beer?
Men or women?
Because to me, that kind of advertising leans towards women.
Men don't want ponies when they are little boys, do they?
Or do they?

I think little boys want ponies, too... after all, a pony can go up to 14 hands and that's a pretty big guy for a little guy to handle... the one pictured looks more like a Misty pony (no bigger than a Great Dane)... so, in answer to your question... I don't like the subtext of drinking when you don't get what you want... but it makes me want a pony... come visit when you can...
I did not get my Easy Bake oven either. Can I have a Wine Cooler instead?
Hi Rhea, Thanks for visiting and commenting! I happily follow you on GFC now.
Let me see if I can explain this - see, men go to buy beer at the first place they see a Miller or Bud sign in a window the instant it occurs to them that a beer sounds good right now.
However, WOMEN are the ones who say, "let's get gas over at that place on Frontage Road because it's three cents cheaper a gallon" and at the same time THINK "and they have that cute ad campaign about the pony I never got."
Right?
It's just supposed to be a FUNNY advertisement. Personally, I find it hilarious! Chill a bit...
