May the Force be...in your cubicle!

Our boss told us to express ourselves.
To embrace our creativity.
To let loose and decorate our cubicles.

So I did.

I chose a colorful and floral theme...
uplifting and cheery.

Some might call it tacky or gaudy.
But it's been fun!

I move to a new cubicle soon, a managerial cubicle,
and I'm thinking I will decorate with a new theme.

I'm just not sure what yet.

I have a photo of my boys up there...
and Annie.

Do you see the little green alien?

And then I was given permission to put up a board in the break room for
Magnetic Poetry.

So further express office creativity and individuality.

To let loose our inner freak flags and fly them high.
hehe

I brought my camera recently and took photos of the board.
Although the messages change daily...here are some.

This one cracks me up.

I think I could have been a contender in my pajamas too.

Do you have the Force in your pajamas?

Do you want to staple my pretty technology?

I'll get you, my pretty...and your little cross-function too.

Someone says "I love collaborative strategy in the morning."

I don't know which is more funny...
the sayings people have come up with,
or how others end up editing them.

You seriously need Magnetic Poetry in your workplace.
Or your home.
I'm a HUGE fan.

They have kid kits too.

You know, on Mondays I see napalm too.

Ok, so I would be the crapiest of the craptastic employees. I would get NOTHING done, b/c I'd be so busy playing with the magnets all day.

Love your "garden".

I love the poetry. Especially "paradigm - cubicle - dead people." Do you see people messing with it?? It wouldn't work here. The kids would drop the pieces. The cats would eat the pieces. And I'd have another huge doctor bill.

And your cubicle...I love it. I tihnk you should go for aliens next time. And paper it with aluminum foil. Is that an oxymoron? To paper with foil?

I'd be the one making pictures out of all the magnets :-)

So much fun! When we had our clinic, I decorated for each and every holiday. We didn't have windows in the back, so 1 year we made a garden from the ceiling. So glad you can have fun at work, makes it worthwhile!

Rhea, I have a friend who decorates her cubicle at work also. She is into Nightmare Before Christmas big time. One of the ideas we came up with was fabric for the outside of the cubicle to go along with maybe what kind of holiday for that month. A big enough piece to cover the outside and you have instant theme for the month. I love reading your blog. Thanks.

Love the cubicle and love the magnetic sayings.

I don't know how anyone gets anything done around there other than letting their creativity out with those magnets! I loved reading all the different phrases.

Love the cubicle and yes I think you need a new theme now you're a Manager.

That magnetic poetry is wonderful, we need one for the teachers workroom at school.

Your cubicle is so fun! Love it! And I might just have to put a magnetic poetry kit up somewhere at school-for the teachers only!

I don't think your cubicle is tacky at all. It's awesome! And I LOVE what your coworkers are doing with the words! Too damn funny. Sounds like a really great place to work.
