These two photos are of Mexican Iguanas in the Yucatan Pennisula.
My mom took these photos while on vacation down there this summer.
They are supposedly vegetarian.
And, if you feed one...20 more will appear.
My mom fed them.
This one is running off with a piece of bread she gave it.
I can't imagine just seeing them all over the place, like they are there.

Way cool! Although I think I'd be afraid to hand-feed them. ;o)
ReplyDeleteWonderful photos and interesting info too! I've shared Birds from my Rainy Day walk this week.

Those are cool pictures, but I'm glad they don't live by my house!
ReplyDeleteWe had one Iguanas outside our hotel during our honeymoon in Mexico. We named her "Iggy":-)
ReplyDeleteVery cool! I've never been much of a lizard person but my daughter loves the Komodo Dragons at the zoo (definitely not vegetarians), and the smaller lizards at the Herpetaurium. She would love giant lizards she could feed.
ReplyDeleteCalico Contemplations
Come on down to South Florida! There's iguanas all over the East Coast and they're HUGE. And brazen.
ReplyDeleteThose are really, really cool! I wish we had lizards and iguanas here!!!
