My creativity has been sucked dry.
Gone.
Not a drop left.
I've worked so much this week,
putting in overtime,
that my creativity has vanished.
Where did it go?
When will it return?
Give me a good night's sleep, and I bet it'll be back.
Meanwhile, you can read about my visit to a Mexican pyramid/temple over at UpTake
or read what I have to say about home buying at United Credit Source.
Two very different forms of writing!!

Let me know when you find your creativity, since mine went into hiding as well. It may be hiding with yours...
ReplyDeleteI had a photo shoot on Sunday that got the juices flowing. Of course, the weather was gaw-geous so that helped!
ReplyDeleteHey, you can talk about this wind and how it blew you to Arkansas.
ReplyDeleteWell, you certainly selected a pretty picture to symbolize your mood.
ReplyDeletemine popped out aka rhea style on my midge vs barbie post
ReplyDeleteI never have creative thoughts. But...if your creativity is like a desert...maybe you should add an "s." You know: desserts. Chocolate has to help.
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean. Mine flew the coop a while ago. Trying desperately to recapture it.
ReplyDeleteI am so there with you. Why does life just suck the fun out everything.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure it will come back..I don't know what I blame, but I feel the same way!
ReplyDeleteIt happens to the best of us, and to the worst of us, for that matter! :0)
ReplyDeleteI hear ya ... sometimes I feel the exact same way. Looks like you need a rejuvenating and hydrating vacation. I would settle for just one day alone in my own house to dance and sing and eat ice cream out of the carton.
ReplyDeleteahh the dry spell.. that's a good picture of what it feels like!
ReplyDeleteWe're all allowed to have an off-week every now and again...
ReplyDeleteI think we all have those days (weeks/months/whatever) of feeling "sucked dry" with not much more to say. I hope you get your creativity back soon! Rest up!!
ReplyDeleteDon't worry you'll get your groove/creativity back soon.
ReplyDelete**Until then stop on by the blog I am having some pretty darned good give aways going on :)
I go through this too. Couldn't write or even read anyone's blogs lately. Hope you break through it soon. Don't be too hard on yourself.
ReplyDeleteHere's some inspiration - stop by my blog and win some money. See, now you feel better already!
ReplyDeleteI think this post looks pretty creative. It perfectly conveys the mood you're trying to illustrate :-)
ReplyDeleteYeah... but I do know what you're saying...
I'm finding it hard to be creative while my life is sucky..
Hope you get your bloggy mojo back soon...
ReplyDeleteMy wonderful friend, I can SO relate. Except, I've got the creativity, but I've got to keep pushing it aside, because I don't have the time to do anything for 'me', so I can't express it... then, when it's time to express it, it all runs together and I can't sort it out, and then I end up in a slump.
ReplyDeleteP.S. I hope you don't mind my considering you my friend - I think you're awesome, I love your blog, and I feel like I can always relate to you. So... you're adopted - just shup and deal with it.
