Pure Texas

Last weekend I drove way into West Texas to deposit my thirteen-year-old at summer camp.
A rather rustic looking summer camp.
(This is his tent!)

And on the drive home, I stopped a million times,
much to my eight-year-old's dismay,
to take photos of the country.

And I took this picture along the way...
and to me, it's PURE TEXAS.

But I can't decide which photo I like better:

The one above WITH the barbed wire fence...
or the one below without the fence.

  1. I like the photo without the fence because the flowers pop out more. Great pic.

  2. i think i like the one with the barbed wire. we moved to texas when i was 10, and i don't think i have a single memory in this state driving through the country without seeing scenes just like that. definitely brings back my childhood.

  3. I like the one without, and the bigger sunflowers.

When drove from Arizona to Dallas. We would see the oil rigs, and then smell the slaughter houses. Oh what a beautiful smell. NOT!!!
