I wake up to the radio in the morning.
My alarm clock has the ability to play a horrible beeping noise...
or a radio station...
or a CD of my choice.
I've never sat down and really figured out how to set the CD.
I'm not sure which CD to choose.
Soft piano music?
Hard rock?
What do YOU wake up to?

Oh, it would change on a daily basis.
ReplyDeleteSome mornings I'd love for Rufus Wainwright to gently wake me with his lush vocals.
Some mornings I'd require Motley Crue to kick start my heart. (Oh, I'm so clever--working in one of their song titles. Love me!)
But I do know one thing: I'd NEVER want to wake up to Sonny & Cher's "I Got You, Babe." I've seen Groundhog Day.
I use the beeping on the alarm clock.
ReplyDeleteI was waking up to Aaron Watson's Live Album but it drove my husband batty... he growled something in reference to Groundhog Day and I knocked it off.
We don't get decent radio stations out here... make that, we don't get stations my little alarm clock will pick up... so BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP is my method of choice.
I usually wake up to my kids destroying my house.
ReplyDeleteThen I drink some caffeine.
Then I turn on the radio.
Maybe by noon I'll be awake.
I usually have Michael wake me up as he is leaving for work. A much more pleasant option than the alarm clock. But if I have to have the alarm wake me up...I prefer the beeping. Otherwise I might be tempted to just lay in bed and listen to the music.
ReplyDeleteI usually wake up to Graham barging into the room telling me he pooped his pants....
ReplyDeleteI wake up to children, every single day. Someday I will need an alarm clock once again.
ReplyDeleteKids wake us up everyday.
ReplyDeleteI wake up to my lovely dog whineing to go potty, at either 7:30 or 8:00 in the morning, every morning!
ReplyDeleteour alarm clock is set to the middle of two stations just so we get the right amount of brain cell popping static at some ungodly hour.
ReplyDeleteway to wake up on the right side, huh?
I wake up to John telling me it's time to get up since HE's the one who hears the beeping alarm.
ReplyDeleteLately, it's "mommy, I just wake up." But, alarm is set to radio during the school year.
ReplyDeleteDuring the school year when I have to get up early, I actually prefer the beep beep, 'cause the radio winds up scaring the shit out of me!
ReplyDeleteJustine :o )
I wake to an annoying beep! I would never get up otherwise:-)
ReplyDeleteI wake to my alarm's beeping, though I do try to wake beforehand (which I can usually do if I go to bed on time).
ReplyDeleteDuring the school year, I wake up to the recorded voice of my youngest daughter saying, "Mommy, wake up! Come pick us up from school! Come on, wake up!"
ReplyDeleteDuring the summer, I wake up to that same daughter asking me inane questions that she finds incredibly important. =)
Soft music, definately.
